Educator and Provider Support

Educator and Provider Supports are provided through regional grants from the MA Department of Early Education and Care. Through this grant EEC is supporting the pathways that lead educators to degree attainment and increased competency. Five regional EPS partnerships create a statewide workforce development system that is accessible to early educators across the state. Together the EPS partnerships provide interconnected professional development opportunities at the statewide, regional, and local levels.

Core Goals of the EPS grants for educators are that:

  • Educators are supported to increase competency and earn a degree, certificate, or credential in ECE or a related field  ™
  • Educators have access to the resources and supports (coaching and mentoring) to set and achieve professional and academic goals

The EPS grant focuses on 3 core areas of the professional development system:

  1. Educator and provider planning
  2. Coaching and mentoring
  3. Competency development

Academic and Career Advancement Services:

  • Information about area colleges and degree options
  • Specially scheduled courses for working ECE and OST Educators, often free or at a minimal charge
  • Subsidies for individual classes that support degree attainment
  • Career coaching and preliminary academic advising
