  • Springfield College early childhood education majors become licensed to teach students with or without disabilities in integrated public preschools, kindergartens, and first and second grades. The preparation begins on campus at the Springfield College Child Development Center
  • Throughout their four years, students complete field experiences in integrated preschools, kindergartens, and first and second grade classrooms. 
  • For students who already hold a Bachelor's Degree, Springfield College offers graduate programs in Early Childhood Education leading to initial Licensure in PreK-2.

The academic programs of Springfield College’s School of Professional and Continuing Studies are designed to meet the needs of working adults who wish to earn a degree in human services. Graduate classes normally meet one weekend each month, while undergraduate classes meet two weekends per month

Post-Baccalaureate Early Childhood Education

The post-baccalaureate early childhood education concentration prepares students for the initial license as an early childhood teacher, Pre-K through Grade 2.
